Trent Building
Enjoy the stunning landscaped surroundings and tranquillity of a traditional setting at the University of Nottingham. Nestled away amongst 330 acres of landscaped parkland is a beautiful location for your wedding ceremony in the Trent Building.
A favourite with alumni, step back in time with traditional oak-panelled rooms that lead through to the Great Hall, where a civil license enables you to tie the knot. Afterwards, relax and enjoy the serenity of the Senate Chamber for your wedding breakfast, with terraces leading down to the boating lake, perfect for a few snaps to capture memories of your day.
In the evening, the Great Hall is transformed to create a party atmosphere where you and your guests can party in to the early hours. Our chefs can create bespoke menus and our skilled operational team can ensure that everything is taken care of.
East Midlands Conference Centre
Stylish interiors, contemporary features and large landscaped gardens; our conference centre can be hired out exclusively for your wedding and offers a modern destination for weddings on a bigger scale.
Our Banqueting Suite is a popular choice for large weddings in the East Midlands region. Giving you the ability to host over 500 guests, this blank canvas space features neutral colour palettes, letting you design your wedding exactly how you choose.
Our experienced catering team can work with you to craft a bespoke menu tailored to your wedding or you can hire caters to use our facilities.

Our conference centre is ideal for larger weddings, which is mostly popular for Asian, Greek and multi-cultural wedding celebrations. It can hold up to 500 guests.
Our banqueting suite backs onto a large landscaped space that can be used for BBQ’s, food trucks, outdoor activities, tepees and so much more!

Modern spaces can provide you with a wonderful backdrop for your wedding day. Our banqueting suite is our most popular room for dining up to 500 people including a dance floor or our theatre room that can be used for a private disco. Our atrium is perfect for welcoming guests with a drinks reception or a buffet set up.

Perfect for smaller weddings or larger gathering for up to 200, we have the perfect solution in the most unique surroundings.
We have in-house catering chefs to help tailor your menus. Your Wedding Co-ordinator will discuss your tastes and requirements with you, and can also advise you on wines to complement your meal.
There are two rooms to choose from, the Senate Chamber is perfect for intimate dining with a stunning terrace leading down to the boating lake or the Great Hall is larger for evening meals or parties.
We’ve been doing weddings at The University of Nottingham for over 25 years, so you can rest assured that we’ll look after you on your special day.
Cultural Weddings
Our conference centre is a popular choice for hosting weddings from many different communities, cultures and faiths. We have a wealth of experience in organising cultural weddings and we understand the importance of being flexible- from how you want to decorate the venue to how you want your day to run.
There are a range of options to choose from. Should you opt for room hire only, we can provide a preferred list of caterers that will be able to use our kitchen facilities. We have a lovely outdoor space, prayer room and dance floor. Everything you need to celebrate your special day.
Wedding Accommodation in Nottingham
We have 202 bedrooms right next to the East Midlands Conference Centre so no need to worry about getting home after a long night. We have both executive rooms and superior rooms to choose from with an additional four bedrooms at our Manor House, Hugh Stewart House- perfect for the Bride and Groom.
