Establishing Nottingham Venues as the leading hotel and conferencing destination in the Midlands would not be possible without the hard work of our employees across every discipline within the business.
We believe in recognising the efforts of our team and each year host our annual employee awards to celebrate achievement and acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact on our customers and the business.
Given the huge progress made since our relaunch in the summer of last year, this year’s awards had extra significance.
During the awards, an Employee of the Year is chosen from a shortlist of those twelve people that had won the Employee of the Month award over the previous 12 months. The shortlist included people from across the business, from Maintenance to Front of House.
We are delighted to announce that Kayleigh Storer has been named as this year’s Employee of the Year!
Kayleigh works within our marketing department and despite only being in the business since October 2021, has made a significant impact on the success of the business.
As part of our marketing team, Kayleigh was heavily involved in our re-launch and her digital expertise helped to populate our new website within just three short weeks. She is involved in marketing projects than span Nottingham Venues and has therefore developed excellent working relationships with people across the business, including those within Nottingham University.
Going above and beyond her marketing role, Kayleigh has successfully managed our SharePoint project, coordinating training and liaising with our IT company to ensure that everything was working prior to launch.
Kayleigh’s endless positivity, enthusiasm and sense of fun have enabled her to develop strong working relationships and she is the embodiment of the values of Nottingham Venues.
Stephanie Moss-Pearce, Nottingham Venues’ Director of Marketing comments: “Kayleigh is a pleasure to work with and due to her helpful nature and ‘can do’ attitude is well liked across the business. She is always looking for ways to improve Nottingham Venues and seeks to consistently develop her knowledge and professional skills to help us deliver the best customer experience possible. As she works behind the scenes, I don’t think the amount of work she does is always recognised, which is why I am thrilled that she has been named Employee of the Year.”
Kayleigh Storer adds: “Having been with Nottingham Venues for just over a year, I was completely shocked to win the award! The winner was chosen by our executive team, so I am delighted to have been recognised and that the impact of my work is valued by the company.”
Helping to develop the skills and expertise of our team is fundamental to Nottingham Venues. If you are interested in joining us, please visit our careers page to find out more.
