Our link to the University of Nottingham
Nottingham Venues is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Nottingham. We are located across 3 of the University of Nottingham’s campuses; University Park, Jubilee and Sutton Bonington. We work closely with colleagues across the University to ensure our guests receive a great experience.
Our history: Nottingham Venues over the years
Although some of our buildings date back to the early 19th Century, our story began a little later than that!
It started in 1994 with the opening of the Jesse Boot Conference Centre (later to be known as East Midlands Conference Centre) and University of Nottingham Conference Centres (UNCC), a team dedicated to managing all events space on campus.
From there, the empire began to grow with the extension of the Conference Centre and opening of the adjacent Orchard Hotel and Restaurant in 2012.
What followed next was the opening of the Jubilee Conference Centre in 2016 (Now known as the Jubilee hotel and Conferences), the former building for the National College for School Leadership.
More recently, we refurbished EMCC and acquired Hugh Stewart Manor House and in June 2022 bought all of the above together to form the newly branded Nottingham Venues. By having all of the campus events, meeting and accommodation space under one roof, we are able to provide an unrivalled portfolio of venues.
