Visiting our Sustainable Hotels in Nottingham

We understand the vital role businesses play in environmental stewardship. That’s why our hotels have been thoughtfully built with sustainability in mind. Having eco-friendly hotels operating in 330 acres of green space makes sense to us, and although we’ve come a long way, we’re always keen to drive more initiatives in order to play our part. This is why we have our own ‘Green team’ with representatives across the business who are working on accreditations and action plans to get us where we want to be.

We’re also proud that The Orchard Hotel is rated BREEAM excellent. BREEAM is a third-party certification for the built environment, recognising buildings - including hotels - that have achieved a high level of sustainability performance.

We also encourage our visitors to get involved in our eco-conscious efforts, with a number of initiatives to help reduce their carbon footprint.

Hotels in Nottingham with Thoughtful Architecture

If you’re looking for somewhere a little different, let us recommend the Hugh Stewart Manor House - a gorgeous Grade II gothic building with 4 deluxe bedrooms. We believe this grandeur building, nestled in woodland surrounding, is a real hidden gem in Nottingham.

The building was erected in 1804 and was known as Lenton Hall in the early 19th Century. At one point in history, Sir Jesse Boot - who transformed The Boots Company into a national retailer - owned Lenton Estate, which encompassed Lenton Hall. For a while, he rented the premises out, before helping to convert the hall into a hostel for 50 male students.

Hugh Stewart Manor House is also home to two meeting room spaces, a library room and lavish drawing room, providing the perfect backdrop for personal or business events.

Leisure and Fitness Hotels in Nottingham

The Orchard Hotel has a small well-equipped gym on the ground floor. Our hotel guests also have free access to our state-of-the-art, purpose built, £40 million David Ross Sports Village, which is directly opposite The Orchard Hotel.

Guests should bring their room key to reception in order to gain entry to the 25-metre swimming pool or gym. A number of other activities can be booked and paid for before arrival by clicking here

The sports venue is open from 6:30am-10:30pm seven days a week and 8:15am-16:00pm on bank holidays.

Eco-friendly Transportation Options in Nottingham

Of course, visitors are always welcome to drive to our venues, with on-site parking available and 8 electric charging points at The Orchard Hotel. We also work with a local trusted taxi service to help you get to where you need to go (Nottingham is a great city to explore!), though with our environmental commitments we do advocate car-sharing where possible.

Even better still, Nottingham has a fantastic public transport network. Located just 3 miles from Nottingham’s vibrant city centre, you can hop on either a tram (just outside the university campus) or the Orange Line 34 bus, which stops on campus.

Nottingham Venues: Ideal for Weddings and Special Events

Our motto ‘one destination, endless possibilities’ rings true; our venues are not just great for meetings, conferences, training days and workshops, they’re also a fantastic location to celebrate your big day!

When booking a wedding with Nottingham Venues, you have two options to choose from - our conference centre (for larger weddings) or our historic Trend Building (for smaller events).

East Midlands Conference Centre can be hired exclusively for your day, giving you the ability to host over 500 guests. Its neutral colour palette also means that you can design your wedding the way you want it, without the decor clashing with your theme.

After guests have danced the night away they can head next door to The Orchard Hotel where we have 202 bedrooms. For the Bride and Groom, we would recommend our Hugh Stewart Manor House - a gothic gem with 4 deluxe bedrooms.

Our Trent Building is a great option for smaller weddings or gatherings for up to 200, with a stunning terrace leading down to our picturesque boating lake.

If you choose Nottingham Venues for your wedding, you will have a dedicated event coordinator to help you every step of the way. We’ve been doing this for more than 25 years and have experience in organising cultural and multicultural weddings, so you can be assured that your day is going to be every bit as special as you imagined.

Business Traveller Essentials: Accommodating Nottingham Professionals

Our hotels provide a tranquil environment for business professionals to stay - outside of the hustle and bustle of the centre of Nottingham, but not too far to travel for meetings in the city.

Nottingham Venues is also the perfect location for meetings, conferences and events. In The Orchard Hotel there are 7 meeting rooms of various sizes. The Worcester Suite and Discovery Suite (which can host 50 and 40 guests respectively) share an outdoor space, giving organisers the option to have their meetings outside during summer months.

Our dedicated conference space, East Midlands Conference Centre, is located next to The Orchard Hotel. The venue has capacity for up to 1,000 delegates, featuring 2000m2 of exhibition space and can cater for up to 588 attendees.

In addition, The Jubilee Hotel has an auditorium and 18 versatile event spaces.

We also offer a range of catering options to suit your needs. To find out more, contact our friendly team on 0115 876 0900.
